Iconic South Australian company Ahrens engaged Algo Más in 2019 to redevelop and design a new website for its Rural division.
The brief was to create a functional consumer-facing website that was bright, modern and engaging. The website was developed by Chris Taylor and account managed by Monique Whicker.
Ahrens is a national full-service construction, engineering and mining services company that delivers a complete range of project services and cost-effective solutions. The company’s Rural division of infrastructure includes silos, sheds and water storage.
We began the website redevelopment process by holding a workshop with members of the Ahrens team where we determined the project scope and two key objectives:
- To drive sales and promote product awareness across Ahrens’ diverse range of products and services.
- To promote the Ahrens’ brand, its heritage, people and company values to stand out as an employer of choice.
As part of this initial workshop, we also analysed the functionality the new website required before creating the initial sitemap. Client workshops are an important part of any major project and, in this case, consultation allowed us to solidify the brief and commence work on wireframes and website designs.
The new website features an attractive and modern design with ten custom templates. It uses sliding carousels that support images and video, dynamic tables and tabs as well as PDF downloads, location maps and multiple contact forms that respond to users’ actions (i.e. conditional logic) and also integrate with Ahrens’s existing customer relationship management (CRM) system.
We converted a substantial amount of content into a logical and presentable format that is easy for users to navigate – and simple for the Ahrens team to update using the robust content management system.
